HELP NEEDED!

Our club member, Maddie Roehl, is working with the Vilas County Snowmobile Alliance to create a Vilas County Youth Club.

Each club in Vilas County is being asked to have 1–2 volunteers represent their club as part of the formation committee. The goal is to have every club involved so all voices are heard as this gets built from the ground up.

Volunteers will participate in virtual and/or in-person meetings with representatives from other clubs to help establish the youth club. This is a great opportunity to be part of something that will positively impact our area by getting younger generations more involved in snowmobiling and our clubs.

If you are interested in being a volunteer, please reach out to Doug Wendlandt  (Email: moc.kooltuonull@97iw5wkwith your:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Phone number

The first two members who respond will be selected, as the first meeting is tentatively planned for May.

Let’s do our part to support and grow youth involvement at the next level!

HIGHWAY 70 BRIDGE MEETING …PLEASE ATTEND

HWY 70 BRIDGE MEETING on FEBRUARY 26 – PLEASE ATTEND!

You may be aware of a multi-use path that has been proposed along HWY 70 West near the Wildwood Wildlife Park Zoo. This path would include a new bridge over the Tomahawk River and we are hopeful that it will include a snowmobile lane. We currently cross the river on the shoulder of the road, so this would be a significant improvement for safety and easier on our sleds.

Trail Manager Jerry Wesner has requested any and all who can attend to help show support for the snowmobile portion of this project. The “public involvement meeting” will be held on Thursday, February 26 at 5PM at the Minocqua Center, 415 Menominee Street, in the board room on the 3rd floor. Please attend and show your support!

Any questions, you can reach Jerry at 608-698-3054
