A membership committee has been organized by the Cross Country Cruisers to explore the opportunities to get kids interested in snowmobiling. Ideas we are considering include holding training sessions for kids to obtain their safety certificate to operate a snowmobile on the public trail system, holding special events such as family and kids specific rides, doing cookouts on the trails and encouraging membership in the AWSC kids program KAOS (Kids and Adults On Snowmobiles).
To further the current committee discussions, it would be helpful to obtain information from our members such as; do you feel this is a direction the club should go? If you have kids, would you encourage them to take part? If so, are you willing to provide the ages of your kids? It is important to have club support before getting Board approval and setting up specific programs and /or events.
If you support the effort to foster youth involvement, please provide the ages of your children. We will not share this information beyond the current Board Committee.

🚨🚨🚨 CCC Groomer/Trail Update 🚨🚨🚨
Well folks, we are officially done grooming for the season – unless we get a HUGE DUMP and at that point we could re-evaluate. Between the early morning runs and the evening runs, 4 of us went out and we all came to the same conclusion: WE ARE DONE 😞
Everything out there has become icy – hard, icy snow. Neither our blades or the drags can cut the stuff, and the mogals that have formed have become very hard to try and cut down. The worst I saw tonite was between Popes and 51 – I couldn’t cut the majority of them. So be warned if you intend to ride there – she’s rough !!!! If you head to Popes, not only will you run into the icy mogals, but the logging has started. From 51 to the Y and down part of Camp lake, the trail has very minimal snow for lubrication. Going to be a challenge to get to Hornwinkels!
We have been very fortunate this year – 11 weeks of GREAT CCC trails! Last year I believe was 7. I still am amazed at how GREAT our trails stayed, inspite of not having that much snow.
So as we wrap up the 21 / 22 season, I have one thing to say to all of our volunteer groomers:
THANK YOU ALL for everything each of you have done to keep the CROSS COUNTRY CRUISERS TRAILS THE BEST IN THE NORTHWOODS!!!

🚨🚨🚨 Trail Report 2/25/22 🚨🚨🚨
Good news Folks!
With the recent ~8 inches of snow, all CCC trails are in excellent condition. We would like to give a big thank you to all our groomer operators – you guys rock!
Here is your usual reminder to always use caution around corners and please stay to the right of the trail. Have a blast out there – the next couple of weeks will be some of the best riding of the season! Enjoy!

🚨🚨🚨Trail Report 2/18/2022 🚨🚨🚨
I am happy to relay that all of our groomer operators reported in last night that our trails are holding up great and are in good to excellent condition!
In town, you may find some snirt as well as road routes that have very little to no snow.
The Bearskin trail is in fair condition with snirt but gets better the further south you travel.
We are expecting some new snow today and at the beginning of next week so trails will only get better!
As always slow down through corners as there may be some icy spots and keep to the right at all times.
Thank you for enjoying Cross Country Cruisers trails, we do have the best trails in the Northwoods!!!
Ride Right Ride Safe 👍🏼
