SnoFest 2027–January 22nd and 23rd
Posted on: October 21, 2026
The Cross Country Cruisers began in 1970 and the club prides itself in providing world-class trails for the Northwoods in the Arbor Vitae, Woodruff and Minocqua area, including the Bearskin Trail. The Cruisers are one of the oldest clubs in Wisconsin maintaining over 100 miles of trails. Cruisers trails would not exist without volunteers that work hard throughout the year to keep the trails in tip-top shape.
Maintaining the trails cost money, only a portion of which is covered by the registration and trail pass funds we all pay to support trails in the state. Fundraisers are vital to our club’s livelihood. Cruiser members and volunteers participate in numerous fund-raising events and community service activities throughout the year which include Cruisers SnoFest, Beef a Rama, Slo’s Anniversary Party, Woodruff Family New Year’s Eve Celebration, Adopt a Highway, Snowmobile Safety Classes and lots more.
Cruisers SnoFest has been very successful for the Club, attracting snowmobile enthusiasts to the area each January. As snowmobiling is a family tradition and activity for many, vintage snowmobiles carry memories as well as opportunity to showcase the history of the sport so many of us enjoy. Who doesn’t like to talk about their snowmobiles and see the old stuff and learn about where the sport evolved from? It brings all ages together to share the nostalgia of yesteryear.
Due to the popularity of Vintage Snowmobiles, the Cruisers added a Vintage Snowmobile Show and Ride to SnoFest in 2024. SnoFest 2027 is being held January 22nd and 23rd at the Cruisers clubhouse in Arbor Vitae, WI. The Vintage show has had great participation each year to date, with more classes added. Participants come from across the Midwest with popular sleds you may have ridden as well as unicorns you may have never seen on a trail before. Some are restored, other survivors that show the patina that comes from age. There are usually some race sleds as well from the early days of snowmobile racing. Who would have ever thought you might see that old sled you rode in the 60’s again? Maybe even with the same snowmobile outfits you wore?
Lots of vintage enthusiasts and something for all ages, the event runs from Friday afternoon through Saturday. Friday is the Cruiser’s night to welcome everyone with an old-fashioned Friday Night Fish Fry and Lasagna dinner, beverages, music and lots of raffles. New for Friday evening this year is Beach Blanket Bingo! Oh wait, this will be January in Wisconsin, so maybe more like Bibs ‘n Boots Bingo. But either way, come for the fish or lasagna, stay for Bingo!
Saturday is the Vintage show shine and ride along with food, beverages, raffles, groomer rides and lots of fun for all. There will also be a vintage trail ride after the awards on Saturday.
Cruisers hope you can make it to SnoFest 2027 on January 22nd and 23rd. Come by sled or car! It will be a fun-filled event!
Think Snow! Think Big Snow for 2027 and Lots of Riding!
